21st Annual Tracy Clark Memorial Theta 5k

Welcome to the TCU Theta 5k homepage!

Sunday September 17, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. beginning in the TCU DJ Kelly Alumni Lawn/Frog Alley on Stadium Drive.

Each year the Gamma Psi chapter of KAO holds a 5K run in memory of Tracy Clark '93. It was Tracy's idea for a 5K that led to the first Breakaway in 1997. The event was named in her memory in 1999 following an automobile accident that claimed her life much too young. In recent years the chapter has been able to raise over $60,000 for CASA of Tarrant County.

In 1989, Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity adopted National CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, as the fraternity’s official philanthropy. CASA volunteers are trained community volunteers who speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in the court system. Advocates provide valuable information to the judges as to what is best for the child and also help expedite the legal process so these children will still have a chance at childhood.
